WIFE OF FORMER HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SPEAKER NOW SELLS DRINKS IN MARKET

The wife of the former Speaker of Akwa Ibom State, Rt. Hon. Ignatius Edet is now selling drinks in a small shop in the outskirts of former Etuk Street Market.

Connoisseur.com captured her while at Nyong Street where she was trying to buy some drinks for her shop.

A source who knows her latest business divulged more when quizzed on the issue: “She has been coming around to buy some stuffs for her shop. Her shop is at Udo Ekpo Inyang Street by Enwe Street. It’s not as if she just comes around once in a while to see what is happening there. She buys and sells the goods herself. The other time, she came to buy only 10 cartons of Bullet, a new drink that has been enjoying massive patronage. In my opinion she should have bought up to 100 cartons to stock in her shop.

“As the wife of a former speaker, I wouldn’t believe that she will be at the shop selling. She comes around with the jeep that was given to her by the governor during the dedication of their children. Some times I wonder whether she is still the wife of Hon. Edet because the nature of her shop doesn’t tell. It’s not a big shop and when she comes to buy she doesn’t buy much”, dropped the source.

Connoisseur.com wonders whether her husband’s money has dried up so suddenly. Or is she trying to be industrious and keep low key?
