Fire
gutted a section of Power City Int’l, arguably the biggest church edifice in Akwa Ibom
State
But
on sighting smoke from the office of the pastor, the choristers had to take to
their heels and every other person, including Dr. Damina, Mr. Umanah Okon
Umanah (secretary to Akwa Ibom State government), and Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem
(Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal followed suit.
Connoisseur.com learnt from a worshipper
from the church that the Hummer Jeep of Dr. Damina was whisked to safety while
men of the state Fire Service rushed to the scene to put off the fire.
A
visit by Connoisseur.com confirmed
the report. The main church auditorium was barely gutted but that could not be
said of Damina’s office as the fire destroyed a greater part of it. The cause
of the fire outbreak was not known as at the time of typing this report.
