Talented and budding music star, Abasiakan Hanson who made it to the top
five at the recently concluded Reality TV Show, Nigerian Idol will be
performing at the maiden edition of Ntanta Awards which will hold on Friday, 26th
April, 2013. The fair skinned dude whose eviction from the show caused uproar
and raised eyebrows from followers of the reality show will be performing
alongside Ibibio rap music rave of the moment, Indigenous MaliQ a.k.a Ikpa Udo,
the legendary Ete Ntia, Sir Wilker Jackson and Mista Xto.
Sir James and General Odey are the two comedians billed to crack ribs at
the event which will be hosted by Nollywood actress/songstress Darlene Benson
and Robert Ekpo. Information at the disposal of www.connoisseurng.com indicates
that there may be special guest appearance by London-based 11-year old music
songster, Mya K.
The award which is to celebrate entertainment stars from Akwa Ibom and
Cross River States who have been outstanding due to their hardwork, creativity
and excellence will hold at Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio Unity Hall, Udo Udoma Avenue,
Uyo, Akwa Ibom. The red carpet is billed to start by 3pm while the main event
will begin an hour later.
Meanwhile, the likes of Ime Bishop Umoh a.k.a Okon Lagos, Indigenous
MaliQ, Zillions, and Belinda Effah are touted as some of the possible winners
at the awards. They are believed to be loved by fans and have gotten enough
votes which could catapult them to grabbing the coveted Ntanta statuettes.
Voting for the award had ended by midnight of Wednesday, 24th April,
2013.
