Hon. Okpo
Ekere, the transition chairman of Mbo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom, a state
in Nigeria has died one month after being shot irate youths.
He died on Tuesday after failing to survive the
complications from the wounds he suffered from the attack.
He was shot and matcheted on May 20, 2012 while trying to
settle an inter-community dispute.
May his soul rest in Peace.
