Nigeria’s Youngest Editor set for Conference of Nigerian Guild of Editor

Of course, as Nigeria’s Youngest Editor Ever, I am set to attend the annual conference for all Nigerian editors. All Nigerian Editors Conference (ANEC), an umbrella body for over Nigerian editors in the electronic, print and online media has been slated to hold in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital from September 12-16, 2012 and over 250 Nigerian editors are expected to attend.
The event, which would be the 8th in the series, is expected to have the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) to deliver a keynote address, while Mr. Ita Ekpenyong, Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) will present a paper with the theme: “Architecture of Terror”.
Highlight of the event will be an interactive session between the editors and governors of some states, including the host governor, Godswill Akpabio.
Former governor of Ogun state and also a veteran journalist, Chief Olusegun Osogba will chair the event while Senate President David Mark will be the special guest of honour.
The opening ceremony of the conference, with the theme: The Nigerian Editor and National Security, is slated for Thursday, September 13, at the new Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo.
