Uniuyo SUG president suspended

The president of the Student Union Government of the University of Uyo, Luckyimoh Inyang has been suspended. The suspension was done by the S.U.G Parliament and has been endorsed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Comfort Ekpo.

The charges against the Uniuyo SUG president as contained in a publication of the House of Representatives of S.U.G Uniuyo on 21st December 2012 includes (1) withdrawal of funds without approval of the house as stipulated in constitution. (2) Misappropriation of the union’s funds and unaccountability of expenses (3) Incessant complaints and petitions by exco members on questionable character of the president.

The Vice President, Miss Louisa Michael had on 14^th January, 2013 assumed duties as the Acting President.
