Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw turns 41 today! Kate Henshaw was born in Cross River State, Nigeria. Her first role was in
‘When the Sun Sets’ in 1993 and in 2008 she won the African Movie Academy Award
for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film ‘Stronger than Pain.’
Azuh Amatus
Azuh Amatus is a multiple
awards-winning journalist with over a decade experience. At 25, he emerged as
one of Nigeria’s
youngest editors when he edited Hearts Magazine, between 2004 and 2005. An
authority on Nollywood and entertainment matters, he has also worked with
various media houses spanning both print and electronics. He’s currently the
EDITOR of Entertainment Express, Nigeria’s first entertainment
newspaper. He was the former Society Editor of The Sun Newspapers and handled
its Showbiz Desk. He is also an entertainment consultant/analyst.
Patrick Okon
Patrick Omar Okon is another man whose birthday is
today. He is the head of South South Desk
of Encomium Magazine and Heads VMC Communications. The well-respected
media practitioner studied at University of
Calabar, Nigeria.
Olu Maintain
Olumide Edwards
Adegbolu aka Olu Maintain is a Nigerian Afro hip-hop musician. His father
(medical doctor with the Nigerian army) plays the guitar and his parents also
encouraged him to take up music. He liked to mimic the songs of Bobby Brown and
M.C. Hammer. Olu Maintain studied Accounting at The Polytechnic,
Ibadan and has
his label, Reloaded Records. One of his tracks ‘Yahoozee’ was a street
anthem in 2007.
Idy James
Idy James is a
broadcast personality. He carved a niche for himself with Akwa Ibom
Broadcasting Corporation, handling several programs ranging from Medley
Showcase to AM 45. He later on anchored wave-making independent program,
BushHouse Nigeria
in the absence of its owner/chief presenter Michael Bush. Idy the son of James
as he choses to call himself later had a stint with Cool FM but had since
accepted the call of the Lord as he now runs his own ministry.
