Connoisseur has scooped that Miss Andinouwem Bassey who was crowned
Miss Akwa Ibom 2012 last weekend is a niece to former governor of the state,
Obong Victor Attah. We learnt that Miss Andino’s father is Elder Essien Bassey
Attah who is the ex governor’s younger brother. It’s also revealed that Bassey
who is an Elder of Qua Iboe Church had earlier disapproved his daughter’s
intention of contesting for the coveted crown of Miss Akwa Ibom.
But Miss Andino still went ahead against the wish of his
father who is a former Commissioner in state during the Akpabio first tenure,
and she was crowned the new queen of the state at Le’Meridien Ibom Hotels and
Golf Resort on Saturday.
Andinouwem was presented with the star prize of a brand new
Toyota Corolla in an event which was attended by top dignitaries.
