Akwa Ibom State, Commissioner for
Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh, today, elated the spirit of football
fans when he made personal donation of kits to the Technical crew of Akwa
United Football Club, Uyo, in the conference room of his Ministry.
Charles Udoh, a former player of
the football club, said, the gesture was to appreciate the team for its
impressive performance in the matches this season and urged the players to remain focused.
The branding Commissioner who also
presented copies of "Discover Akwa Ibom", a publication of the
Ministry to the team, commended the state Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for his
commitment in building football stars amongst youths in the state.
Receiving the kits on behalf of the
team, the Chairman of Akwa United Football Club, Elder Paul Bassey thanked the
Commissioner for the kits and all his other numerous largesse and support to
the club.
