Planet FM 101.1Mhz begins test transmission in Akwa Ibom

Planet 101.1 FM, Uyo has begun test transmission. With Atlantic FM and AKBC Radio hitherto holding sway, Planet FM which is the first private radio station in Akwa Ibom State have joined the fray. They have been playing good tunes ever since they begun test transmission. I think independent producers should go to Planet FM if they want to do their jobs without interference, in order to avoid what has been happening to them in government stations. I however have an authoritative scoop on who owns the station but that is a gist for another day. Welcome on board Planet FM. Leggoo #InTimaya’sVoice.

Project Fame star, Eyo turns born again?

Eyo Okon Eminue popularly known as Eyo or Heyo or Akwa Ibom Fine Boy was voted 2^nd Runner up at the Project Fame West Africa in the same season Chidinma Ekile won the reality TV show. Of recent, he seems to be missing out in sit outs or neither seen clubbing as was the case some months ago. He now offers what he calls ‘Celebrity Free Ride’ to members of the church he worships in, Power City International. Instead of embarking on ‘Project Fame’ he is currently working on ‘Project World’ where he seeks to draw people to God. Eyo who is known to be circular/contemporary music star this morning surprised many the more when he wrote on his facebook timeline that he is set to release two new gospel singles. Aluu 4: Trial judge hands off case, says “I'm between the devil and deep sea”

The ongoing trial of the alleged killers of four students of University of Port Harcourt, Choba, on October 5, 2012, which happened in Aluu community near the institution, suffered a setback yesterday after the High Court Judge, Justice T. S. Oji, withdrew from the case. Her decision to return the case file to the chief judge was sequel to the observation she made that the third accused person, Ikechukwu Louis Amadi, out of the 11 accused persons, did not have a lawyer to defend him.

The fair-skinned music Nigerian Idol star whose eviction from the show caused uproar from viewers of the show across the country tweeted a picture of himself chilling with the eventual winner of the talent hunt show, Moses, and fellow Nigerian Season 3 contestant @jazzokey. Abasiakan is currently in Lagos and hooked up with his close pal Moses Adigwe. They were very close during the Idols and it’s good the relationship is extending beyond the show.

“It’s all about choice when he decided to marry Annie. I’ve known Annie for years and I think she’s perfect for him. There were times she would sit under the tree, crying and asking me if 2face really loved her. Even when 2face was dating Annie, Black Face and I were equally dating two of Annie’s friends. But we didn’t marry those girls but 2face and Annie eventually got married. That’s life for you.”

eLDee shows off sister’s academic achievement

Music ace, eLDee Da Don showed off his sister’s academic achievement by posting the photo above on his instagram page and wrote “My sister Ngozi Dabiri, maintaining the family tradition of academic excellence. Congrats luv”. eLDee studied Architecture at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, claims he too has a Masters degree, apparently after Naeto C gave the line “the only MC with an M.Sc” in his song 10 over 10.
