Planet FM owner, Tony Afia yanks Sen. Aloysius Etok off air

The owner of Planet 101.1FM, Uyo, Mr. Tony Afia (a.k.a TAF) last week yanked Sen. Aloysius Etok off air on the station. Aloysius Etok was set to be interviewed on a live program on the station and the OAP announced that the senator was live in the studio was set to go on air when they return from a commercial. While the commercial was on, the Uruan born owner of the broadcast station, Afia called the Head of Programs, Cleo not to allow Etok go on air, even with his money. Ultimately, Etok didn’t go on air and left the station’s premises embarrassed.

Ace broadcaster, Michael Bush to head 1 GAME BoT

Seasoned broadcaster and administrator Michael Bush has formally joined the 1 GAME: Football without Violence campaign and will head its Board of Trustees, the organization announced on Sunday.

The 40 year-old journalist has been partially involved with the campaign right from inception, playing an advisory role in the non-profit organization. He now takes up a more challenging role in an initiat...ive that is less than two years old.

CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: DJ DOLLIE POPMAN AND UDUAK ARK ASUQUO

Today (23^rd March) is the birthday of top Disc Jockey, Dollie Popman. Popman has been a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry for a long while now. He has controlled the wheels at AKBC Radio for years but currently works with the Director of Protocol to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

He is the official Deejay of the 9,300 now 9,999 choristers (for Akwa Ibom State Government Carol Night). He studied at the University of Calabar and is happily married with kids.
