E-101Extra release party in pictures

birthed another baby, E-101Extra. In an event hosted at Booble Lounge, Uyo,
Akwa Ibom State, the magazine was unveiled to complement its already existing

President Jonathan suspends CBN Governor, Sanusi
President Goodluck Jonathan suspended the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. According to a statement signed Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Sanusi’s tenure has been ‘characterized by various acts of financial recklessness and misconduct which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focused economic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline’. Facebook buys WhatsApp for $16 Billion
Social network giant Facebook has
bought instant messaging service WhatsApp for a wallet-busting $16 billion (£9.6bn).
The hugely popular phone app allows users to send messages using internet
connections, avoiding SMS charges. WhatsApp has 450m monthly users - 70 per
cent who use the app daily - and claims to register 1m new users every day.
