Last month, it was reported in several tabloids that James Essien a.k.a Sir James was angry with the Akwa Ibom State Director of Protocol- Aniekpeno Mkpanang, whom he openly confronted for reasons simply summarized as ‘non patronage of home grown comedians during state functions’.

Nigeria’s oldest radio program, ‘Something to Remember’ returns to airwaves on Sunday

I’m not really sure whether it is the oldest, but it is surely one of the oldest existing Radio programs in the history of Nigeria. Though it has been off air because its presenter, Mr. Aniekpeno Mkpanang is now the Director of Protocol to the government of Akwa Ibom State, ‘Something to Remember’ recently clocked 28 and in the spirit of the program’s anniversary, the workaholic presenter who is known in some quarters as “Mr. Perfectionist” will be on hand to do what he knows how to do best.

So, “Something to Remember” will be aired on AKBC Radio, located in the frequency modulated band of 90.5Mhz by 7pm today, Sunday 17 June, 2012.
