Kaduna state governor, Mukhtar Yero sacks cabinet


Governor of Kaduna State, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero sent his enter cabinet packing. In a statement announcing dissolution of the State Executive Council, the spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Ahmed Maiyaki, said Governor Yero thanked the commissioners for their valuable contributions to the state and wished them success in their future endeavors. The commissioners were directed to handover the affairs of their respective ministries to their permanent secretaries within two days.

Happy birthday to Vice President Namadi Sambo


Today, August 2, is the birthday of Namadi Sambo. He is the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Sambo was born on 2 August 1954 in Zaria, Kaduna State of Nigeria. In 1988 he was appointed Commissioner for Works, Transport and Housing, Kaduna. May 2007, saw Sambo assuming office of the Governor of Kaduna State, Nigeria.

Boko Haram bomb 3 churches in Kaduna


3 churches have been bombed by men of Islamic sect, Boko Haram in Kaduna State Sunday morning. The bomb attack took place at Christ Catholic Church (Sabo), ECWA (Wusasa, Zaria), and Shalom Church, Trikania.
So far, about 10 people are reported dead in the multiple bomb attacks.

Fuel Subsidy: Senate Tells Jonathan To Revert To 65 Naira


The Senate after a closed door session yesterday, asked President Jonathan to revert the price of fuel to 65 Naira per litre. This is following a similar call a few days ago by the House of Representatives, the Senate President was asked to convey the Senate’s resolution to the President within 24 hours.
