She has received several awards and nominations for her work as an actress including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2006, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2008. She is married to actor Olu Jacobs.  

Also, singer Martins Okey Justice also known as J Martins is +1 today. Martins who hails from Abia is the second child from a family of seven kids and a graduate of Computer Science at the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka.
