COE SUG: Speaker congratulates President-elect, others

The Honorable Speaker of National Association of Agricultural Students parliament Akwa Ibom State University, Rt. Hon. Harrison Ndifreke has conveyed his hearty felicitations to the President- elect of the Students Union Government, Akwa Ibom State College of Education Afaha Nsit, Comrade Emmanuel Nse Thompson and other elected Executive members on their landslide victory recorded at yesterday's election. He also felicitated with the Senate President-elect, Senator, Imoh Monday Peter on his victory at the poll.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Honorable Speaker Mr. Augustine Ntekim, the Speaker said "It is indeed a victory for all lovers of true democracy and indeed the entire students of Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit."
"This is a litmus test for our nascent democracy and students’ unionism in Akwa Ibom State."
"Akwa Ibom State College of Education Students have showed other institutions that they have come of age and the stage of gradually looking brighter for the future Students unionism."
"This is indeed a lesson and reminder to all students political office holders to work in accordance with people- oriented programs at the grass-root levels to bring about the much desired catalyst for social and sustainable development of students unionism in Akwa Ibom State. I urge the President Elect Comrade Emmanuel Nse Thompson and the Senate President-elect, Sen. Imoh Monday Peters to be magnanimous in victory and the other aspirants should cooperate and work in harmony with the president Elect to hasten development in Akwa Ibom State College of Education Students Unionism ".
“I also want to appreciate the Electoral board officials, the Provost of the college Dr. Patrick Uko, the security agencies and all those that ensured peace and orderliness towards the success of this historic election. Once again, Congratulations”, the statement reads.
