Timaya has not signed me - Ikpa Udo

He made waves as the new prince of Ibibio rap in Akwa Ibom state, as crowned by E-101 Magazine in one of their editions. He shot a video, did collabos, played a couple of shows to horn his skills in the underground and earned the admiration of many (especially female fans).  In recent time,  Indigenous MaliQ a.k.a Ikpa Udo has been missing in action when it comes to the music/entertainment industry in the South, where he hitherto reigned supreme.  He took out time in his Lekki, Lagos abode to attend to a few questions from Nelson Sombodi on what he has been up to lately, and to clear the air about rumours of him being signed by Timaya. Music star, Icekid cuts off dreads

This is certainly the trend for dreadlock carrying entertainers. Timaya, Pasto Goody Goody, Terry G have all shaved their dreads and today, self-styled Otuekong Ikwo Akwa Ibom, Icekid Banton followed suit and visited the salon too to take off his dreads of many years. He dropped a personal message on his BBM “Dada down 4 millions of Naira”. How do you see his new look?

Happy Birthday Ryan Giggs and Timaya

Today, 29 November is the birthday of two top celebrities – football star Ryan Giggs and Nigerian music artiste Timaya. Giggs, a Welsh born footballer is a legendary Manchester United footballer who is clocking 39 today. Timaya, the self-styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa was born on this date in 1977. Timaya “Upgrade(s)”, releases 4th album June 25

Of the truth, Timaya has upgraded big time. I have listened to some of the jamz off his soon-to-be-released 4^th album “Upgrade” and I’m like wow. I personally like “Bom Bom” and “Sexy Ladies” which I consider as club bangers.

Upgrade, a 14 tracker album features VEC (Vector), Terry G and the relatively unknown Attitude. The album will be officially released on June 25, 2012. Keep a date.
