Mikel signs new 5 year deal at Chelsea

Below is what the club posted on its official website but what they failed to state is whether the deal is an improved one (pay package-wise) or not. The 25 year old currently earns 80,000 pounds per week at Stamford Bridge. Congrats to Mikel, and I hope he will get to score goals now apart from the two he got in the FA Cup in his first season.

Photo: Chelsea star, Mikel Obi visits Nigerian governor, Godswill Akpabio

After winning the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup double, and thereafter being snubbed by Coach Stephen Keshi for the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers, Mikel Obi is enjoying his holidays as he has been visiting some top governors of Nigeria. He was recently hosted alongside kidnapped and released Christian Obodo by Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan.
The picture above shows him presenting his Chelsea shirt to the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio. Connoisseur.com will bring you a clearer picture because the one above was taken from BB.
See the picture of Mikel with Gov. Uduaghan after the cut.
