Chelsea break Champions League trophy handle, 3 staff suspended

This is funny. Is it because they haven’t won it before or what? It’s funny and embarrassing as well. If about 400 staff of Chelsea want to hold the trophy and take pictures, tell me why it won’t it break? Read after the cut what Dailymail wrote:

He was recently hosted alongside kidnapped and released Christian Obodo by Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Breaking News: Chelsea appoint Di Matteo as permanent manager for 2 years

The Blues have announced that the Champions League winning gaffer has been appointed to oversee the club’s first team for the next two years. Though I feel the owner was a bit reluctant in giving the Italian the job, it’s a reward for the success he has brought to the club in his short stint. Congrats to him.

Mikel to be honoured by National Assembly over Champions League win

I personally don’t think this is fair on Kanu Nwankwo and Finidi George who were the first Nigerians to win this trophy. They haven’t been honoured, so should Mikel be? The House of Assembly should be pre-occupied with better things, like clearing the mess of fraud involving its key members. I’m a big Chelsea fan, so no be bad belle ooo.

Breaking: Didier Drogba quits Chelsea

Didier Drogba who was the hero as Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their 107 year old history has announced that he will leave the club when his contract expires next month.

"We (he and his team-mates) will not be together next season," Drogba is quoted as telling France Football magazine. "As I have decided to leave, I wanted to tell them to their faces.

"They made me break down. I found it hard to admit that it was finished with me and the club. But I don't envisage sitting on the bench watching others play at a time when the club is looking at putting together a new team.

"So there we go, I am readying myself for a great leap into the unknown. It will be another adventure."

It is a pity! But for sure he remains a legend at Stamford Bridge. Bye bye the big DD…

Nigeria’s John Obi Mikel was the cynosure and the centre of attention during the club’s UEFA Champions League and FA Cup trophies parade round the city of Lodon. Mikel was prominently seen jubilating close to where the club’s owner, Roman Abramovich was sitting at the back of the truck.

This is due to the fact that his jersey number at the club is 12 and 2012 happens to be the year when The Pensioners finally landed their holy grail. Every member of the club wore blue-coloured CHAMPIONS jerseys with number 12 (Mikel’s number) written on it.

Could it be destiny or coincidence? Mbok, congratulations to our Nigerian brother! The feat no be beans !
