He then wrote my love, used tongue out smiley and wrote haters. If I’m to interpret what that means, he says he is love struck, sending kisses to his love, and then sarcastically shaming haters. If the girl above is his beau, then they look good together.

Uniuyo SUG president suspended

The president of the Student Union Government of the University of Uyo, Luckyimoh Inyang has been suspended. The suspension was done by the S.U.G Parliament and has been endorsed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Comfort Ekpo.

Gov. Akpabio sacks Commissioner for Women Affairs, Helen Ukpabio

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio, CON this afternoon fired the Commissioner of Women Affairs & Social Welfare Mrs Helen Ukpabio (pictured above) and the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mrs Arit Okpo. In a statement signed by the Commissioner of Information  Mr. Aniekan Umanah, the Governor relieved them of their duties with immediate effect , thanked and wished Mrs Helen Ukpabio and Mrs Arit Okpo well in their future endeavors.The Governor is said to have been seriously miffed by the way and manner the Ministry handled the Armed Forces Remembrance event today.

This is no rumour. The serving Miss Akwa Ibom, Andinouwem Essien Attah will be dethroned, a source who confided in www.CONNOISSEURng.com told us authoritatively. The source divulged that her dethronement is based on the falsification of her names.  

“The organizers of the pageant who also serve as her managers will be dethroning her before the week runs out. There are many reasons for this. First, there were disparities in her names. She uses Andino-uwem Essien Attah in her credentials while she registered for Miss Akwa Ibom with Andino Essien Bassey. Second, she has been unavailable for most her pet projects and official assignments. Accessibility is one of the main problems the management has with her.  She had been served with a query on Tuesday but uptill now she has failed to reply it”, the source said.

AKBC TV this evening showed the whole world how mundane and unprofessional they are. After the 15mins R.I.O.T program by Pastor Abel Damina, it seemed those operating the console at the directorate of transmission went to sleep as LG Logo from their DVD kept showing for over 5minutes without them joining or slotting in the next program. At exactly 9.00pm, they played David Sunday’s music video before joining the network service of NTA for 9pm news. You can call it a free advert for LG. They have been doing this since Ifreke Nseowo was a kid. I wonder if this is the same way they would be operating when the digital TV studio is set for usage. What do we really need? Psquare debunks rumours that they were detained in Uganda

Psquare, Africa’s finest celebrity twin has debunked claims that they were detained in Uganda after performing at a show. Reports going viral on websites and blogs have it that the Okoye brothers were detained at a Kampala Five Star hotel over unpaid bills which they incurred during their stay in the country. The report has it that the promoter who was in charge of the event said the group was paid for the performance, accommodation and transport according to the signed contract. However, their personal bills went beyond the agreed limit, hence the stand off.

The team started its close camping less than a month to the commencement of the games and it was obvious they would not stand the likes of Delta, Rivers or Lagos states that started camping three months to the event. In any sporting activities, good preparation is only what brings success and that was evidence in the states that started early as they also did very well.

Broadcast star, Ubon Marcus emerges NANS Vice President

Popular on-air-personality Ubon Marcus is now the Vice President, Special Duties, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). He got the post after emerging victorious at the polls during the just concluded national convention of the apex Nigeria students’ body. With the election held at Uyo Township Stadium on Tuesday, 18^th December, 2012, accreditation of NANS senators for voting began a day earlier. Voting however started in the wee hours of Tuesday morning and ended by 4pm same day.
