Africa Day: Tribute to D’banj, Drogba, Wizkid et al

We join African’s worldwide to celebrate the 2012 Africa Day Africa Day. The Africa Day is the annual commemoration on May 25 of the 1963 founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU). On this day, leaders of 30 of the 32 independent African states signed a founding charter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In lieu of this, chooses to celebrate Africa’s entertainment and sports stars that have ‘rep’ the continent well at the world stage. Ranging from the likes of D’banj, Ice Prince, Basketmouth, Wizkid, 2face, Sarkodie, Genevieve Nnaji, Nadia Buari to Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, John Obi Mikel, Yaya Toure, John Utaka et al (we have a long list here). We all know what these guys have done to merit a mention here.

Guys, we celebrate you joor and say well done for making Africa proud and making Africans relevant through your chosen endeavour.
