bottle which held at the Federal Palace hotel some days back, that he came to
the event with his wife, Sandra, who was wearing a wedding band.

El Mafrex loses out on MOBO Award, thanks supporters
Nigerian born Scotland
based gospeller, El Mafrex over the weekend lost out on the 2012 Music of Black
Origin (MOBO) Awards where he was nominated in the category of ‘Best Gospel Act’.
The University of
Uyo graduate was
nominated in the category alongside V9 Collective, Rachel Kerr,
Ni-Cola and Ram1. It was Rachel Kerr who scooped the award. However, despite losing out on the
award, he didn’t allow that to weigh him down as he has a message of thanks for
those who supported him for the MOBO. Check out his message and the full list

Journalists charged on widowhood reportage
Professionals in the media have been charged on representation
of widowhood in their reportorial. Widowhood is said to be under-represented
and lacking in statistics. These, among many other inhumane practices are the
defeat and neglect which the widows round the world suffer. The founding
president of Widows Rights Action Network (WRAN), Evangelist Angela Effiong
gave the challenge a fortnight ago at the media launch of the Liberty 2012
Project. Liberty 2012 is an African Regional Workshop on Awareness Creation and
Advocacy for the Right of Widows.

Comedian Sir James resigns from AKBC, invited for interrogation by police

Sir James has resigned from Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC) as a
guest artiste. Sir James who is a presenter and Associate Producer of Youth
Corner on AKBC TV handed in his resignation on Monday, October 15, 2012 to the

El Mafrex, popularly known as "da Gospel dancehall
GURU" is a multi-talented award winning recording/performing artiste based
in Scotland , United Kingdom .
He started playing music since age seven, and went professional late 2000. He
was born over two and half decades ago in Nigeria . He attended the

he developed further on his music skills by being one of the pioneer members of

A lovely hattrick from Idongesit Amanda gave Entertainment
Stars a resounding 3-0 victory over Media Celebrities in the rematch of
Celebrity Showdown. The match which was played at the University of Uyo
Mini-stadium saw the Entertainment Stars taking
the lead inside 10 minutes of the first half and completed the rout before the
end of regulation time.
