Incumbent governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole
of EdoState has been announced as the winner
of the July 14, 2012 guber polls in the state. He was declared winner by INEC's returning
officer Prof. Osayuki Oshodi. The ACN candidate won with 4,77,478 votes followed by PDP with a distant
144,235. Below is the number of votes each party amassed at the polls.
Oshiomohole also won the wards of the PDP
candidate Major General Charles Airhiavbere
(ret) and that of the party’s godfather, Tony Anenih. Congratulations
to him !
