Beautiful
songstress, MefLyn Mbom a.k.a Lyn is set to release the video of ‘Akwa Abasi
Ibom’. The video we learnt will be released alongside the audio on the 1st
of September, 2012. The project which is supported by Ministry of Information, Akwa Ibom
State also featured over
100 talented people on set.
The song
was produced by Harry Baba, mixed and mastered by Final Mix while the video was
directed by Akin Alabi.
The track
which is done to commemorate Akwa Ibom’s attainment of 25 years saw Oscar doing
a feature of an Ibibio character in the video. According to Lyn, the song was
done to thank God for taking the state that far, as well as lauding the labour
of past heroes of the state. Lagos
based ‘Jamboree’ crooner also divulged that top fashion designer Basigz
supplied the costumes, Amaeka was the Make-up artiste, and Anifera provided the
costumes for male. In the traditional scene, Pat Thompson was Lyn’s costumier, Akwa
Obio Traditional Troupe provided the cultural display while the Western
Chereography was done by Tush
Dance Academy .
The video
shoot was done in notable government sites, Tropicana, Le Meridien Ibom Hotel
and Golf Resort, Akwa Ibom International Airport (AKIA), while shots of heroes
past like Mma Udo Udoma were taken in Ikot Abasi. The work seeks to appreciate
the efforts of past heroes, past administrators of the state and the uncommon
transformation drive of the present Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio. Connoisseur will exclusively bring you the
