In a reaction to our earlier post
that Uyo people have groaned over the transfer of OC Anti-Robbery, SP Julian
Igbudu, human rights activist, Barr. Inibehe Effiong has commended the Inspector
General of Police for the decision.
The Lagos based lawyer stated this
in a post on his Facebook timeline. He said the Cross River State born Julian

I commend the
Inspector General of Police for transferring the duo of CP Donald Awunah and SP
Julian Igbudu from the Akwa Ibom State Police Command. These two individuals
were part of the security problems in the State.
The Mr. Awunah
rather than fight crime stood idle and watched while political killings reared
its ugly head in the State. The Commissioner of Police was grossly incompetent
and partisan.
SP Julian Igbudu
was used by some corrupt politicians in the State to attack and frame-up innocent people. Julian became the pawn
of the government while he was in charge of Anti-Robbery and later, SARS.
I hope that the
new CP will be professional in his dealings.
Akwa Ibom State
should no longer have a CP who will be residing in the Government House and
behaving arrogantly.
The upsurge in
political killings in Akwa Ibom State should be dealt with by the new CP with
courage and urgency.
