A lawyer and immediate past
Chairman of Ukanafun Local Government Transition Committee, Barr. Abasiono
Udomfu, was arraigned today before a Magistrate Court in Ukanafun. He was
arraigned with two others, on a one count charge of murder of the Secretary of
the Transition Committee, Ime Atakpa. One of the accused persons was absent in
Court.
Plea was taken and the Court
ordered their remand in Ikot Ekpene Prison. The case file has been transferred
to the Director of Public Prosecution for reassignment to a State High Court.
